Just don't play that song "In the arms of the angels"

because based on what they saw when they heard this song

they are either gonna cry or laugh because of a meme

I always think of how that song saved DMC's life

“I went over to her and was like, ‘Ms. McLachlan, you sing like an angel; you’re a God to me. I listen to that record every day of my life. That record takes all of the s******l thoughts out of my life,'” McDaniels tells PEOPLE, recalling the meeting. “And she said, ‘Thank you for telling me that, Darryl. That’s what music is supposed to do,’ and shakes my hand.”

i don't do festivals because outdoor + summer + daytime is not my preferred way to enjoy live music, but if they brought back lilith fair i would 100% go.

they could do a old guard/next gen theme, have a collaborative stage (like rock in rio does), have a lineup that spans multiple genres and generations, multiculral representation with invented international artists, etc - it could be so awesome!

and then go a step further and make it in october when it's not hot as hell outside, lol.

hopscotch is doable if you want better weather and indoor shows. the headliners are in an outdoor plaza, but the rest of it is at places that are not far apart. i never had a problem finding somewhere to sit at any of the clubs, but the last time i went was in 2019 so idk now

st. vincent, faye webster, and waxahatchee are playing this year and would fit right in at lilith fair, i think

moogfest in durham was fun, but that's dead

I can't wait to watch this! I'm not really a festival person, but I would die to go to a Lilith Fair. They had so many amazing artists: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilith_Fair#Performers.

I remember as a kid that Lilith Fair was often used as a punch line. Like, a vehicle for homophobic comments about women, or just not taking women musicians or music made by women seriously. Fuck that shit!!!
