Thanks to Toronto's endless gridblock, singer Niall Horan left the vehicle that was taking him to Scotiabank Arena, in the downtown core, and walked to the venue instead. He noted that in all his year of performing, it was his first time ever walking into a venue. Horan played shows in Toronto on June 29 and July 1.

I was just in Toronto and it reminds me of when you built a shitty park in Rollercoaster Tycoon and everyone's thoughts were "It's too crowded here." "I'm hungry" "I'm not hungry" "I'm lost."

Lmao the fucking accuracy 🤣🤣 I love Toronto and hate it at the same time...I'm glad I don't live in T.O but close enough by Go Train for the rare occasion I need to go into the city

are you my neighbour? lol I'm on the city edge right by the GO train, and will opt for that vs TTC or driving whenever possible.

If its not the traffic, it's the drivers that CAN NOT DRIVE.

Lol maybe! I'm in Oshawa...Go Transit is definitely the preferable mode of public transportation especially since DRT just raised the city bus prices to 4.60 so more than TTC for shittier service 🙄

I’m from the DMV, so yes. Both the city and the suburbs. We are also renowned for our terrible drivers, each jurisdiction being terrible in its own unique way. (I’m from the aggressive speeders part, but it’s the fault of our cluebag neighbors who think they’re the only people on the road for making us so mad.)

But back to the topic at hand, I thought walking in Toronto was taking your life in your hands. Did someone warn him?

Every single driver in Toronto has main character syndrome.

And it doesn't help that none of the Uber drivers actually live in Toronto and don't know shit about getting around.

fwiw, I was an Uber driver and I live in Toronto and I feel like it doesn't matter how well you know the roads. The problem is the gridlock. However, if your driver is using the Uber GPS then you are fucked. It will take the most ridiculous routes.

What sucks about that area is that it's next to the busiest train and subway station yet so many people would rather sit by themselves under a bridge for 15 mins just to move 2 blocks.

Well I think it's more a matter of people trying to get out of the city entirely.

Toronto traffic is notoriously bad, so I'm not surprised. I've been lucky that the two concerts I've attended so far this year (Death Cab/The Postal Service, and Craig David) have been on weekends so it hasn't been that bad. But the Missy show next month is on a weekday at that same venue, so it will probably be a bit of a shit show.

lol I remember a few years ago I was very naive and took a taxi from my hotel to the train station which was theoretically a 6 minute drive but which I had budgeted an hour for.

Was in the taxi for 40 minutes, eventually exited and had to run to my train and was one of the last people who boarded.

I don't how the fuck anyone gets anywhere. It's horrific.
