I am curious to see if the hype for this one is legit because I've heard "best serial killer movie in decades" thrown around and I don't take that lightly.
i just bought tickets for next friday (even though it's playing here in NYC as soon as a week from today), i cannot fucking wait. it's been getting great reviews and is supposed to be one of the best horror films of the decade!
also oz perkins is my absolute favorite nepo baby, i cannot believe the guy who played nerdy david in legally blonde has such a sick and twisted mind
I had no idea that he was Anthony Perkins' son until very recently. I saw a crazy twitter thread about his parents and the story is wild/incredible. Each tweet was more and more insane 🥴
I love how every review I've seen is like "this is the most EVIL and TWISTED thing to exist!!!"
But I also can't get over how I unintentionally found out more about the plot because I saw a snippet of an interview with Nicolas Cage where he just said what his characters's deal was (lol), and I can't get over what it is.
nic cage is in this? is that a spoiler? it would be funny if he just plays himself but evil. like that is the twist. the killer/monster is just unhinged nic cage.
Knowing nothing about this trailer I did not recognize his voice or see the tag or billing. This reminds be of Black Phone and my bus driver saying she freaked out when Ethan Hawke was the killer (I guess she went in cold because he's also top billed in that movie) but her surprise was funny.

It does remind me a bit of Silence of the Lambs but seems to go for more gore.

ahhh I think I'm watching this on saturday. I'm not a big gore/ott violence person, but whatever! I'll close my eyes if it gets too bloody.
