the blurry, disgruntled looking dog you can see in the background of the second picture is killing me

I'm really strongly thinking about fostering cats (well, like one at a time), as I WFH almost every day and my two cats are healthy and spayed and all, but I'm honestly afraid I will majorly struggle with the goodbye part. I'll try!! But I will love that baby within hours bc I am a big loser and it will be hard. 😬

Love our rescue and I would never ever give him up but damn it’s a lot and also frustrating at times when you have family members with their perfect kid / human friendly and non e-scooter hating dog

Tbh I’m a little suss about her and these animals. She had a senior dog that disappeared when she got with her new man and the internet harassed her about it and it came out it basically lives with a dog trainer now but no explanation of why she removed her senior dog from her home. She also had some dogs that she adopted with her ex husband that neither of them have now so I have no clue where they went. She also had adopted a bunch of bunnies she would post about all the time that also just disappeared

She has a farm, maybe the animals are there?

Maybe but I’ve never seen some of those dogs ever since she broke up with Karl (and it seems he only kept his dogs and their dog blueberry) and the bunnies for sure just disappeared and those were living in her house with her. Seems unlikely the dogs just live on the farm alone, so at the very least, she decided to rehome animals she adopted. She seems like she cycles through these phases - she had a mini horse she was all about for awhile and even created an instagram for it and hasn’t posted about that mini in four years, either, and I’ve never seen it pop up in videos of her farm. I’m not really about people who make a commitment to an animal and then just toss it when it no longer suits them and she gives me those vibes, ngl. The “I rescue old senior dogs!” thing seems more like a good branding opportunity than any to me, tbh. I used to really like her but soured once I noticed all these animals she was crazy about just disappearing

on the one hand I do see what you mean but them not being shown on social media isn't really a reason to think that. If you looked at my social media you would think I didn't have cats anymore since I rarely post them but I did heaps when I first got them cos I was excited. But they are well loved and cared for.

We rescued two wobbly cats (cerebellar hypoplasia) whose elderly owners died. They were up for adoption for more than 18 months and the rescue was going to look out of state if we hadn't adopted them when we did, back in Feb 2022. I don't know why it took so long for them to get adopted because they are complete sweethearts. One of them has asthma and is learning to tolerate using an inhaler after being on Prednisone for more than 2 years. All my clothes are covered in cat hair all the time. 😻😻
