I wish I had the time, space and money to foster fail as much as she does. She seems like a really kind hearted person and I hope her pets are living their best lives.

I’d love to adopt again, but I work lots of hours and don’t feel I could give a pet the life it deserves. Plus the cost of pet care has gotten outrageous in the past few years.

This is my husband's and my dream if we win the lottery. Like enough money to pay people to help with taking care of the animals and then just have a farm full of rescues

My last dog died a year ago and I said I wasn't going to have another one for a long time, but I'm getting the itch already. I want a pittie, though, and they're super rare where I live. I hike/walk like 20-40 km a week and I need an adventure dog to bring with me!

I thought overall there are more pitbull shelters than for any other breed.

I thought that too! I live on a portuguese island and they are all shepherd-mutts here. I've seen ONE guy with a pibble (a little squat-legged hippo that I wanted to steal) and he said he brought her with him when he moved. Half of me wants to just fly over to the continent and get one from a shelter there, while the other half knows we already have plenty of dogs needing a home here.

Oh, I see. From what you describe, it's quite a political issue. My first thought (doesn't mean it's a good one) though was: rescue animal is a rescue animal. And unlike invasive species, those wouldn't procreate and set the environment off balance.
Discussions about rescue animals and pitbulls specifically hit close to home.
