I think she's a genuinely caring person where he's concerned, but I don't think she's interested in being his support system once their kids are all grown. It seems to me she's been acting as a stabilizing force for their kids while he cycles through his metric ton of stuff, and I wonder if she hasn't put her own personal life on hold to do that. I cannot imagine doing that for the next god knows how long.
