+1. Even when I have nothing to say, I always appreciate them and the effort she puts in.

Exactly! I literally read all the points and it has helped me check out movies I maybe wouldn’t have otherwise.

I saw Thelma, and I was so emotional the whole time. I loved Richard Roundtree in it.

I have never watched a Breillat film that wasn't unhinged in some way.

I saw Daddio a few weeks ago; see my Letterboxd ramble for more, but I did not like the gender dynamics and I felt his character's shittiness was not handled well. But I liked Dakota and her manicure (half the movie is her texting someone, so it's relevant!).

idk about Catherine Breillat, man. In the past I've found that I Cannot with her. We'll see.

Seeing A Quiet Place, Kinds of Kindness (WOO) and Janet Planet this weekend. I'm celebrating being done my grad class!! Also planning to attend the PrideFest street fair on Sunday, but the weather looks maybe bad. :( Alas.

I watched Don't Look Now last night and I keep thinking about it. It's very weirdly paced, but once you get into it and ESPECIALLY once you hit the ending it's so freakishly satisfying. I really dug it.

Kinds of Kindness is out here now so maybe I'll see that this weekend. Depends on my laziness and what else I end up doing, but I do want to see it, so even if I don't make it work now, I will at some point.

I didn't see the sequel to A Quiet Place but since this is the beginning, I'm sure that's fine. Though I do need to first make sure the cat survives, because don't you dare give me a cute kitty just to kill it off.

I won tickets to see Despicable Me 4 for tonight, but I'm not sure if I want to go downtown for a movie I don't actually care to see lol
