Weird spin-off to The Righteous Gemstones.

You know, Hugh Grant would really work the horror vibe. Surprised he hasn't done more. I hope he does more because he was creepy in this.

Him playing a villain, nasty or just asshole-y suits him.

Exactly. He has a slimy attitude, that I just think he should embrace it.

Looks amazing. I wasn't aware that women could do missions in LDS, but I'm also not sure if the movie is explicitly saying they're Mormons.

I think women are allowed to but not required or expected to like men are. I've seen a few around my city before. Idk if the movie will explicitly say it's LDS but they've got those name tags that all the LDS missionaries wear so it def seems heavily implied!

They can but usually they're shorter (18 months vs 2 years for men) and they have to wait until they're 19 instead of 18. There's not as much stigma if women don't do one though.

I think from Thatcher's interview they are supposed to be Mormons, because she cited her family background in Mormonism as part of the reason she really wanted to do the movie.

Haven't watched the trailer but I love the idea of torturing missionaries.
