I have never performed drunk/high BUT I will say that as someone who was a performer, the singing and dancing get locked into your brain after the millionth rehearsal. I could still do some of the routines I learned in high school because we practiced them so many times.

ETA: people assume if you can do something that requires coordination, then you are sober enough to function, but I still remember the episode of Cops where a guy got pulled over for drunk driving and he was able to do a standing back tuck so the cop let him go. I was like nooooooo, that doesn't mean he's sober!!!

yeah, muscle memory is a thing! I'm sure some people can't function unless sober but a lot of people are very high-functioning, especially addicts
