I think we may not be seeing it now, but Taylor's downfall has already started. It's slow of course, but her image is starting to crumble.

I don't think an actual downfall will ever happen to her but a series of backlashes like 2016 I could see repeating.

A downfall no because she's already reached untouchable level and is pretty established. But she has been gaining ire whether it's from fellow artists cause of the chart blocking or what she did to Olivia, to critics/music publications having to be in fear of getting harassed and dox over a less-than-stellar reviews, to winning AOTY when the quality doesn't reflect the big prize etc...etc

No way she hasn't been building up some level of resentment in the music industry.

Maybe not a full downfall like, disappearing from the industry, but losing relevancy more and more is inevitably going to happen. She can't stay on top forever. All the things you mentioned are exactly what I was thinking about but besides her true self coming to light, there's something organic happening which is: her fanbase, the original ones, are growing up (kinda like me) and she's not relatable anymore. Also for younger fans tons of new artists are on the horizon, artists actually willing to talk about causes and overall not be shitty, petty and mean. And she can't escape forever the criticism that is louder and louder.

I just don't know if she'll ever truly lose relevancy cause she always manages to bounce back. Like I do think when people look back at her music, they maybe will question if the music matched the intense popularity (I personally don't think it does).

I think artistically she's already lost to her peers and the new girls coming in cause they all have growth on their minds when it comes to their music whereas Taylor boxed herself in that middle/high school mentality.

If I think about it you probably do have a point, cause like I've said she'll win commercially but artistically she's been losing. I think we'll really see it when a new equally ambitious younger girl comes on the scene and becomes the new wave in ways that she'll be more relatable~ than Taylor.

I wish all celebrities would call out their fanbases for unhinged shit because it’s getting weird out here. They don’t just keep that shit in their bubble on Twitter. I thought we as a society were slowly starting to stop putting these rich folks on a pedestal but I feel like there wasn’t any true progressive or we went backwards.
