This literally sounds like someone got FruityLoops and a new account on SoundCloud (aside from the vocals), like why would you release this? At this point even Sponge Bob should be embarrassed.
i think for this remix to work, Ari should've rerecorded her vocals its like Monica and Brandy are singing a completely different song, especially when you know they're holding back because Ari's vocals are very soft on this track
IMO - Ariana actually sounds better (vocally) to me when singing live than her recent studio output, which usually the opposite for other singers lol.
The vocal production on her new album is way too soft, bland and a bit too 'clean' if that makes any sense, perhaps too produced. But if you listen to her live performances of the same songs, there is a bit more power and dynamic quality to her vocals that makes me enjoy the songs much more.
she always sounds great live but yeah her vocals are constrained to the point it seems unnatural. idk there’s been a slow but steady regression of power in her vocals since sweetener. it makes her music very unsatisfying

it sounds like a bad "ai cover" on youtube. the mixing on this and the mariah version of "yes, and?" are both awful.
