Lmao I love the synopsis of Thelma. It's like a comedic version of the Beekeeper but funny and true!

They filmed it like a heist/action movie. There are a few small bittersweet moments but mostly it's hilarious!

i’ve watched basically no movies lately (mostly sticking to tv, since a ton seems to be coming out in june). i have the bikeriders on my list, since i’ve enjoyed jeff nichols’ work before, and i’m really excited to see fancy dance. i saw the thelma trailer for the first time last time i was at the theatre and it looks so fun.

I'm probably not seeing any movies this weekend, but when I get back I really want to see Thelma.

I'm surprised my theater is playing The Bikeriders between the 100 showings of Inside Out 2, I'm going to check it out to support my new husband Mike Faist.

I too have it bad for that theater kid. Mike is the draw for me even though his role is apparently small (and Michael Shannon). I'm still trying to decide how to feel about Austin Butler.

Yeah, both of their roles are pretty small.

I will say, was similarly ambivalent about AB before I saw this movie, and walked away liking him a lot.

Good to know. Last thing I saw him in was Masters of the Air and I found him pretty meh in that (and Callum Turner terrible) so I'm looking forward to seeing him work with what appears to be better material. I liked Take Shelter and Midnight Special quite a bit.
