Someone mentioned on Twitter how they thought the mother was Black and it would have been cool to see a horror movie about a Black woman facing an old Black matriarch who gets the white christian version of the holy spirit (oh I guess she'd call it the holy ghost) despite how often white american Christianity continues to fuck over Black americans but they still keep giving into it and that would have been interesting.
