This is a positive of fandom. Is there a list somewhere of K-pop artists that have Hybe as their label? It would be nice to know who not to listen to.

Also, I have seen so many horrific videos and pictures coming out the past few days of children torn a part by bombs. It’s infuriating that Biden doesn’t care about those children, but he’s falsely talked once or twice about how Hamas beheaded Israeli babies on
October 7th. I hate him so much.

Same. We are really about to have other dude as the president and I don't see a difference in how they will each lead... In some ways I'd rather have T because at least he's obvious with his facism.

"BTS ARMY, as one of the most the most influential fandoms in the world"

I have to laugh at how this statement and shocked how fandoms in general have been an actual entity outside of niche corners.

That said it's nice that they came together to raise money for Palestine. I think when Megan thee Stallion collaborated with BTS, the army donated to various black-women based charities too.

OMG when they recovered the BTS merch from the rubble :((((((

I'm also laughing at how blunt and shady the video is when the caption reads, "many social media users worldwide are boycotting celebrities who are pro-israel or who have been silent on the war in Gaza" and they use footage of Amy Schumer and Taylor Swift.

Paste also did a good article about it too, in case you want to add it to the post op. https://www.pastemagazine.com/music/k-pop/as-the-genocide-in-gaza-continues-palestinian-k-pop-fans-organize-for-their-people

I hate how people only united after this specific event - war crimes shouldn’t have to affect you in any relatively personal way for you to care. BUT, I’m still proud of them for doing it at all and raising much needed funds for the victims/survivors. 🇵🇸

Tbf, I think that event is just what prompted them to make it a fandom effort specifically. Not that I doubt there are people who only got invested because of fandom tribalism, of course, but I feel like I've seen a good few people with "ARMY4Palestine" and the like in their handles who seem to have been involved in some way for longer.

I hope as more media is reporting on this that HYBE reconsiders having Scooter Braun as a part of their label. Scooter Braun's statement rubbed a lot of ARMY the wrong way, because of how he singled out Jungkook and seemingly took credit for their success, and more are finally jumping on board with getting him out.
