Introduced as "the biggest Punjabi artist on the planet" Diljit Dosanjh made his debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he performed Born To Shine/G.O.A.T. Dosanjh has become a huge name and source of representation for Punjabi Sikhs around the world. His biggest concert to date played to 54,000 at BC Place

i know nothing abt punjabi music but i've greatly enjoyed the occasional song i've heard over the years. do you have any faves you rec in particular?

tbh I'm a non-Punjabi Indian and not very knowledgeable, so I'm not the person to ask. (OP might have recs for you?) I mostly just listen to whatever I get recommended on YouTube.

I can recommend an oldie but goodie, Bally Sagoo, who is probably the best DJ India has ever produced.

How do the Punjabi phrases translate?

First is basically saying "The Punjabis are here" and the second is our greeting, used for hello and goodbye but generally translates to "blessed is the person who says 'god is truth'."
