The 2024 version of Adaptation. May ChatGPT get ejected through the windshield of a truck. Long live real writer's block.

I'm in a writing class this summer, and it's so obvious when someone has used AI to write their essays. There's no personal voice, and it's all so... empty.

Meanwhile people who are innocent of using AI are losing jobs/getting failed in classes/etc because of people promoting "AI-detecting software" while people also promote using Grammarly - using AI to improve your writing - which increases the likelihood that you get flagged for using AI. It's such a dangerous cliff we're balancing on at this point.

Grammarly has been pissing me offfff. I've had it for years to flag typos (the software I use for work is web-based and doesn't have a spell check) and now that it's started to give straight-up writing advice it's nearly useless. Just tell me when I write "teh" instead of "the"!

Ugh. I actually want to read those "essays" but I know it would be depressing af.

Luisi says. “I could probably make a lot of money with this movie but I’m choosing not to because I don’t want people to say: ‘You’re profiting from our misery and you’re using this as a marketing tool to make money.’ I want to do this as a contribution to the cause.”

Then why charge the theatergoers in the first place? He must think we're dumb lol

Why the fuck would I care enough to watch a movie that nobody cared enough to write?
