The Merrily Trio are such wholesome, loving, caring people. Their press interviews this season have given me life. I saw Merrily in the second row and Groff cries multiple times every single show. He’s deserved a Tony for a while, but he really deserved it for this show because he is so great in it. I’m so happy for them.

I was so so happy for the Merrily crowd last night; I’m sad Lindsay didn’t win, but Kecia Lewis has been in this industry forever and I’m so happy for her getting her first win.

I’d love to go see it again before they leave. I still want to see Stereophonic but lordy getting those lotto tickets are going to be even harder now. Maybe I’ll just watch a slime tutorial of it.

I thought this would make Angie a Grammy away from EGOT but she didn’t win an Emmy for GIA?!?!?! Whatttttt??? That’s fucking wild.

I hope as soon as Viv and Knox are 18 we get her autobiography and she nabs her Grammy and takes down Brad once and for all.

I was so happy when Daniel won, I screamed in my room where I was watching the show lol. like pretty much everyone my age, I have such an attachment and fondness for him and to see him work his ass off next to Lindsay and Jonathan, and then to win is so amazing.

and then Jonathan Groff had me crying at the end of the night too lol (DanRad and Groffsauce making me cry, what is this 2011?). I think he should’ve won a long time ago, but wow winning for this is major. and his speech too, the stuff he said about his parents and Daniela and Lindsay, and then just talking about his dream. this is what the Tonys are about!

I don't mean this to be as shady as it might come across but I'm genuinely surprised Daniel won an award for acting so it's safe to assume he came a long way since his HP days. He seems to have found his way in theater, which is lovely to see bc I 100% believe most (if not all) great actors have either started in theater or have carved a solid career there as well. I'm happy for them cause I like all three, but I'm particularly happy for Jonathan bc I think he's a wonderful actor.

Dan has found a good niche in quirky comedy, musical theatre and loveable nerd roles. In the last few years he has absolutely found his lane and it's working for him.

I've seen him in "Rosenkrant and Guildenstern are dead", and he was great. He can act, and is very humble.

I think what worked for him was taking ego out of it post HP and that kind of massive stardom.

He wanted to be better and worked his ass off. Theatre has been a great fit for him. He's very good and still learning and becoming better with each new project. I think he needed to find his niche. Quirky comedy is a gold mine for him. He's very funny and having met the guy a couple of times, he's extremely humble and kind.

I'm quite happy for him.

Do I see him winning an Oscar? No. But I didn't think he would win a Tony either. Comedy suits him. He deserved his Emmy nom for Weird. He was straight up hysterical.
