In 2018, Normani tweeted "I have my album title y'all."

A "fan" made sure to remind Normani every year for almost 6 years that she was "sick" for the long wait.

Now that the album is finally out, Normani celebrated with a cake with those tweets.

I’ve been a Christina Aguilera fan forever so I just never gave a shit about number and shit, I wish more people would follow suit and enjoy the art without the numbers. It’s possible!

The album is not doing that great on streams/charts, but that’s just a starting point. She can keep on working on the singes, etc. It was important to release it and let people know who she is as an artist.

Also, I don’t get people who said there was no promo, she gave a bunch of interviews for YouTube, was on magazine covers. We still need some music videos and performances, but I’m hopeful they will come.

I liked the album! It’s not doing well, but maybe it’ll fulfill her RCA contract and then she can go indie or a better label!
