For some reason cuts aren’t working for me so I’ll keep it vague but I was SHOCKED at who they killed off. I felt bad because it seemed they were trying to redeem themselves.

Noa just needs to be single. I don’t hate Jen like a lot of others but she’s just…there and the ex has shown he’s a gross alpha male most of this season trying to be Noa’s ~protector.

I did find the scene funny when Imogen was pretending to have a breakdown in the voicemail to Dr. Sullivan. Her “fake acting” was better than when she was in shock at the pizza parlour though….

Ugh, I knew they were rehabbing Greg so Faran could hook up with him! Why not just let her make out with a new person ( ... )

I was half expecting Shawn to reveal that although he had deduced Noa liked Jen, he hadn’t gone to her apartment or punched a hole in her wall. My first reaction to Jen pointing to it was assuming that she was lying.

I literally had THE SAME EXACT THOUGHT.

I have a wild theory on this at the end of the thread, would love your thoughts on it ahead of Thursday!

I am extremely disappointed that after two whole seasons, the show hasn’t come up with a plausible reason to have a musical episode. Dream sequence? Drug induced hallucination? Community talent show? Come on, show! There are so many Broadway actors in the cast that it’s criminal that they haven’t had so much as one of them humming (Lea Salonga, Sharon Leal, Mallory Bechtel, Derek Klena, Lilla Crawford, etc).

I lost count of the number of dream scares in this ep. Did every girl have one?

This is the perfect time for one of the girls to get knocked out by Bloody Rose and singing ensues!

When Imogen woke up in Johnny’s room, the lighting looked off so I thought it was another dream sequence that would end with something scary and then nothing happened!

I hate Jen. I don't necessarily hate the storyline, but the actress who plays Jen just sounds like she is reading the lines off a paper off-screen, and she has no chemistry with Noa.

I also still think they're going to make Johnny a bad guy, and I think he's Dr. Sullivan's son.

I think he's Dr. Sullivan's son.

I thought the same exact thing.

When they showed his headstone, I paused the episode to see what the dates were so I could see how old he was, when he died, etc, basically any clues to point toward his identity. He was 16 when he died a few years ago so he’s older than the girls, which rules out Greg and the other Millwood students.

I don’t think Johnny ever mentioned his exact age. I assumed he was still in high school since working at the ice cream parlor during the summer seems more like a job for a teenager, but maybe he’s a college student home for summer break? That would put him in the right age range to be Dr. Sullivan’s son (assuming that the dates on the headstone are real).

The way she said that their family was from Millwood made me slightly suspicious. I can’t remember why though (it might have just been the way she said it).

Conclusion: I have drawn zero conclusions!

yeah my very first suspect guess was Sullivan. Now everyone is equally shady 😭. I can usually guess the killer on the first episode but I cannot figure out who it is. but sillivsn could have easily set up the car scene and lied about her son maybe? because first she said she didn't have anyone when she was in the hospital and then she said she had family here. I just can't figure out the motive like who would want to kill the pastor becuase there has to be a connection to the church somehow too.

at this point i'm rooting for ras to make the lesbian evil because i need jen gone and jen/noa finished by the end of the season, i don't care how. at least if she's evil, the awful writing for her/them will make sense, otherwise i feel like ras was relying solely on the assumption that the fans would love any f/f ship and well, no. i know shawn didn't deny the wall punching but part of me is still not convinced jen didn't do that herself

i'm not invested in either relationship but for imogen and tabby's sakes, i hope neither johnny or christian are involved because that would be damaging to their ability to ever trust someone romantically again :/

I can definitely imagine a Season 3 where Jen has been sent back to Juvie, so Noa enters Junior Year with a jealous ex and is free and single. Jen just seems so expendable as a character.

yeah tbh regardless of if she's involved or not i've been operating on the assumption she was only gonna be around for this season for some reason, even before the overwhelmingly negative reception. her going back to juvie for all she's done makes sense (maybe she'll take the blame for shawn's car as some kind of half ass attempt at redemption) or maybe having to skip town. but letting noa be single next season is desperately needed
