The fandom is RPF insane for this guy and Nicola. I accidentally clicked a Bridgerton post on instagram and have been been showed post after delusional post of tinhats trying to convince themselves they are secretly together. There was an entire post of a shipper talking herself down that "Even if they arent together and it would break her heart, that they are at least such great ~actors~ to give the fans s3 of Bridgerton.

I just don't understand why they would hide it? That makes zero sense to me. Why would a couple, especially a heterosexual, couple hide it? You would think they'd really want to sell it, so they'd be all out there with the PDA.

as a bridgerton fan but not a shipper of the actors, the fans have been the actual worst. I think things have been particularly feral because they are good at the PR side (nicola in particular makes him seem more charming) and it's the first time a promo cycle features two actors who could conceivably be together (rege-jean page announced he was leaving pretty much immediately, jonathan bailey was out at the time).

LBR Nicola is too smart to date a coworker and too cool for him anyway and he WOULD date a 23 year old dancer *eyeroll*

Nicola is really great at PR - she in particular did an amazing job of bringing him out of his shell for promo. He's a lot more introverted in interviews with the other cast members - she made him seem actually kind of charming lol.

That's the actor who plays Benedict - he is or was dating the actress who plays Philipa, although I think they might've broken up. She brought another guy as her date to a couple of the premieres.
