If I like the TV show, should I watch the 90s movie? I've never seen it. Will Brad Pitt piss me off in this role (more than he normally does)?

it's different from the show obviously but I think it's worth a watch just for Cruise's performance alone.

Little Kiki too. Jacob is a better Louis tho but that's a hard character to play.

I think it's a very good movie but I was also a teenager at the time so could be the emo in me talking lol

the movie is fine, it's worthy imo just to see tom cruise act unhinged and pitt being out acted by 12 yo kirsten dunst in every scene

I love the show. But the movie is a closer adaptation to the book. I love it.

Same - I just loved cruise and Kirsten dunst in their roles. I was a Brad Pitt girlie then as a kid but even so I knew his performance wasn’t great lol (lethargic is the word; I always disliked his interpretation of Louis)

i was the same, but the show is sooo different that i can't even compare the two. i love them both but the show is just so unbelievably good and such a great change to the novels.

I totally sympathise (that's why I couldn't watch the movie adaptations of Narnia; they could never do it right and it was too important to me!), but honestly it's hard to even conceptualise the iwtv movie and series as being related. The intepretation of the characters and the overall feeling is just so different.
