The first time I saw the Firebrand trailer on IG I freaking screamed when I realized Jude Law was playing Henry! they really went in on the "make him ugly" makeup

I bought a virtual film pass for a doc festival (bless them for having the option still), but my week got so hectic that I crammed my money's worth into one day of just marathonning the ones I was interested in. Solid stuff. The Pickleball doc I watched will probably end up on a streaming service lol. Though I've also heard concerning talk about streamers pulling back from doc acquisition so that's a bummer.

Otherwise, I watched the third and fourth Bad Boys lol. So much camera movement! All the camera.

I hope I can catch Ghostlight in a theater!

i watched nowhere special, which i put on my watchlist after seeing it in one of these posts a couple of months ago, and found it really moving. james norton was great.

otherwise i'm pretty much caught up on my movie watchlist for the first time in ages, which works out well since i have a ton of tv coming out in the back half of june. firebrand isn't out near me (and the cineplex site says its runtime is 21 minutes, so i'm guessing no one has bothered updating the page recently lol), but i'll watch it eventually since i can't resist a tudor drama. it feels like it's been forever since it was announced.

I watched 20,000 Species of Bees last year (must have come out here earlier) and it's a lovely movie.
