Louis was over their relationship (Lestat was also in Armand’s mind trying to connect with Louis and he withheld from Louis. he completely wiped his and Dan memory of what actually happened that night.

this show!!!!! no one’s doing it like them. i love love LOVED seeing daniel and louis bond and that final scene where daniel realizes that the little speech that genuinely kept him going through hard times was from louis was genuinely lovely!!!! like a real rare moment of kindness on this show! LOVED them and their scenes together

So there are a few interviews I believe or fan accounts where they say that Jacob needed Sam for support while shooting certain scenes. I think it could be the Claudia storyline but after this episode...maybe this one as well? Sam apparently came to set just to make sure Jacob was okay.
