I think I'm going to have to jump at this chance to see Run Lola Run in theaters! I watched that movie approximately 800 times back in the day, and I wore out that soundtrack. It's been a long time now since I watched it.

I didn't realize it was in wide release. A friend invited me to a screening in Hollywood with Franka Potente, but I couldn't go.

Ugh this movie was just ::chef's kiss:: when it came out. It also inspired Alias's pilot episode which was so great. It was such a unique idea and Franke Potente was such a diamond.

This opened me up to watching foreign movies which I had been so ignorantly dismissing because I just assumed i wouldn't like them or they wouldn't be 'as good'. It was the first one I watched and after that I was hooked. I probably watch an equal number of foreign movies to english language movies now. Especially with horror. I'm a horror movie fiend and american horror movies have gotten horrible. You go in netflix's horror category and Zombieland is there. I'm just like... wtf is this shit? This isn't scary.

I want to really be scared...and foreign horror is A+ a lot of the time.

I was tempted to see The Watchers, but I think I will wait for reviews, which I suspect will not be great. Might go see Run Lola Run - haven't seen that since college, maybe?? And Challengers is still at my local AMC and I have been meaning to go again - we'll see.

Haven't seen anything since Margaret on Sunday, but this weekend we're seeing Being John Malkovich with a Charlie Kaufman Q&A! Very excited for that. LotR is tempting, but why the fuck don't they just do a proper rerelease in IMAX/Dolby rather than this Fathom Events bullshit??
