Flashbacks to Cassie Clare and her many series set in one universe (until she had that MG series that was clearly Draco HP fanfic repurposed and then the A Darker Shade of Magic sorta knockoff).

BUT unlike Cassie Clare, I'm fine with Suzanne Collins, get money!

*cries in poor struggling writer*

It makes me so happy in 2024 to see that the first comment in a book post is about Cassie Clare. ONTD never forgets!

The official announcement says “The new book begins with the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games” and he was the winner of that one.

I really liked Ballad so I'm excited. I wondered if she would ever write Haymitch's games!

Ballad of Songbirds was a little cringe with how they shoehorned in the singing at times (sorry OP) but I still liked it. I wanted to know more about how Tigris and Snow grew apart though.

i read ballad of s&s having no recollection of tigris in the original books at all and then it made me nostalgic for the trilogy so i decided to reread and when she showed up i SCREAMED….. suzanne can really be diabolical when she puts her mind to it

I think in the books it was done well, but it was really too Pop Orchestra-y in the movie that felt super out of place............

Yeah just bursting into defiant song at the reaping and in the arena was…. Jarring and awkward. Elsewhere the music and singing was used brilliantly. But I got a lot of second hand embarrassment at times lol
