God, what a delight this show is. I loved the second season as much as the first, I still find Sarah Kameela Impey so magnetic, the songs are great, and I would like an album of covers a’la the Britney one, please.
I have nothing useful to contribute to a discussion, just a lot of gushing.
i finished the season yesterday and i loved it! the very last scene of episode 6 gave me series finale energy, though i feel like that was them trying to give a satisfying ending just in case they don’t get renewed. in a perfect world, this show would be a smash hit and have as many seasons as they want. some specific things i loved:
1) the songs! villain era is the one i’ve listened to most but i’ve had them all in rotation, including the britney cover lol 2) as someone who’s queer and not fully out, i really appreciated the conversation between ayesha and mahmood. it’s refreshing to see a gay character’s plot arc not end in a Big Coming Out that suddenly makes their life perfect, honestly, because it feels like that’s become a default way to tell queer stories. 3) loved bisma getting more of a spotlight. the nina simone cover was gorgeous. 4) amina and ahsan are SO charming.
anyways, going to continue recommending this to everyone i know.
I agree, it felt like a series finale. I also like that ayesha said she likes her parents and likes seeing them. It makes them less of the stereotypical enemy in these situations. I also enjoyed Bisma's storyline although they didn't resolve the record company's issue.
i loved it! i really appreciated all the girls' journeys separately and as a group. this show is so well-balanced. and the songs were great too, although i haaate The Reason lol

I love this show, I am sad that it was over in 2 hours. Their cover of Britney was everything and I love that everyone at the party was into it.
I loved Taz's outfits in this one. I am so happy she achieved her dream.
