I remember wearing Loose out in college. That album was (is) so good. I wonder why she didn’t quickly follow up after the success of that.

I remember her being ambivalent about fame. She'd mention longing to go back to the days she was a cleaner and a nobody just cause life wasn't as chaotic after she found success. So I do think that probably played a part.

I loved the Loose era, because it's rare when an artist has lots of potential bops and hits from a single album AND they actually became singles!

Not every single was released in every part of the world, but no one can say she and her label didn't pimp out this album for all its worth.

I would say "Wait For You" would have been a good single too, but there had already been so many singles, why bother.
