Shocked that it was Dua before. I would have bet it was Taylor.

Good for her. I loved her new album, I think it's better than the first one.

Apparently the most streamed albums ever are Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti and Ed Sheeran's Divide.

I feel like Lover is one of Taylor’s weakest albums as a whole. I’m wondering how much of those streams are supported by Cruel Summer taking off years later and becoming a legit enduring hit.

Given that and some of the more lukewarm critical reviews of TTPD, maybe TS will realize there’s a lingering appetite to give more uptempo Cruel Summer-like bops and leave behind the more tired mid-tempo synth pop stuff she’s been pushing since Midnights.

Happy for Sour. It’s a great album! I really like Guts too.

I liked Cornelia Street and songs like that, but the rest is bloated. She needs to focus on good songwriting if she wants SOTY, not on releasing as much as humanly possible in a short amount of time.

ia. In her earlier career she would release 1 album every 2 years. I remember her saying she thought more than that would leave her over exposed lmao. But now she’s just surrendered to her indulgence and no one on her team is gonna tell her otherwise lol

That’s probably why she stopped working with Max Martin. She wants the most profit for the least amount of effort.

It's weird to me how fickle streaming seems to be. I guess its the same for every metric though. Like, Olivia and Dua can barely keep a single in the top 300 now on streaming when they were doing literal billions with their last cds, even with non-singles streaming well? I feel old, like I can't understand young people listening patterns lol.

Yeah, the singles from Guts and Radical Optimism were not as successful. But I feel like they both cultivated a fan base and will be fine regardless.

MTE!!! It's kinda wild how Olivia and Dua have the three best streaming albums, yet....them having song of the year this year feels unfathomable. Let alone being a part of the pop discourse in a major way. Artists impact is as thin as water in this age
