I must be an outlier because I thought these last two episodes were strong. And I thought Meg Stalter was hilarious in these eps, too.

But I do agree about J Smith-Cameron's role as Kathy being somewhat off. Part of me wonders if it's because I still see her as Gerri.

ETA: I find Paul Downs so cute. I've been attracted to him since Broad City.

I felt these episodes were the strongest of the season tbh and I loved seeing the Mayor (my fave character tbh lmao [besides Jean], I think that actress is criminally underused).

I thought this season was pretty weak until *these episodes.

For me, I think they should've just left the Kathy feud where it was. I didn't need to meet her, even though I enjoyed seeing JSC in a lighter (ish?) role. Also I don't find the whole angle of "I was 19 and we ended up having a great marriage that was worth the fallout with you" very compelling. Otherwise perfectly pleasant ep though.

I really liked these episodes. Tim Bagley's character was so cute. Made me excited for Somebody Somewhere.

This season is so GOOD.
I cried so much watching episode 8. I love this show so much. Love the writing, the acting. It’s pure comedy. It doesn’t feel forced.
I know everyone and their mamas love The Bear but I want Hacks to clean the house down next awards season.
