This show never appreciated what it had in Jordan Buhat and his thicc eyebrows.

I only watched the first season (and maybe some part of season 2, I forget) but I will forever be annoyed that they cast half-Filipino actor Jordan Buhat to play a South Asian character. Fuck this show and fuck Kenya Barris. They cover a lot of racial issues in this show but didn't even bother casting the right ethnicity for his character???

I think I dropped this show when I found this out, because as a South Asian this left a very bad taste in my mouth.

It never even made sense. It was rarely brought up for his character. If you like Jordan so much just make the character Filipino. If not hire someone else.

I used to be a completionist so I would stick with a show no matter how terrible it got. A few years ago, I broke myself of the habit and I was so proud of myself! If not for that, I probably still would have been watching this show. I originally started watching to be supportive of Yara, but I tapped out at some point before her brother joined the cast. Things were just getting so unbelievable and ridiculous that I couldn't take it anymore. Relationship-wise, I hated her with Aaron. I don't even remember all the reasons why I hated them together, just that he was a hypocrite and he was making me mad for being so judgmental about what she was doing.
