watching the show hardcore like millions of others over a decade, i never expected GOT to be one of the few shows that just had no long term impact on culture. i really thought it'd be one of those timeless, iconic, and endless watchability series like so many others.

but once it was done it just ended with the saddest whimper in tv history

I feel like it did have an impact but not in a positive way. A lot of shows trying to recreate the shock of the Red Wedding and killing beloved characters, reaction videos, ruining the concept of sex scenes for a whole generation, terrible night lighting, etc.

I try mot to carry hate in my heart but GOT is dead to me. I have no desire to rewatch the series. Battle of the bastards being the exception.

I have not rewatched it since the finale. I saw a lot of the episodes multiple times except S8. I know I rewatched in the break between 7&8 for example.

Man it so thoroughly killed any love for this show, even with it's die hard fans

I just remember that gif with all the actors at the last read through and Emilia cringe laughing because it was so awful

i am a repeat viewer, i will watch shows over and over, but the GOT finale was so thoroughly bad that it soured the entire series for me. i haven't rewatched a single episode.

same! I will watch my favorites again and again but GOT is dead to me. after the finale I was so fucking mad that I threw out the one GOT thsirt I had lol
