Also maybe an unpopular opinion but Lizzie Olsen carried all the scenes they shared together. MCU goofed hard "killing off" the Scarlet Witch. Her popularity coming off WandaVision could have easily led an entire phase.

I think they backed themselves into a corner making her 'irredeemable' and incredibly powerful.

Ehhh. They could easily have de-powered her if they wanted to with whatever deus ex machina they had at their disposal. Studios still doubt a powerful woman villain/anti-hero as a box office leader even when they write her well.

That they went all-in on Kang instead makes me think they fell into the trap the X-Men movie writers did in that they felt the need to up the ante with a powerful Big Bad each film to keep folks engaged. Which is weird to me because they built up Thanos so well previously.

I think her sacrificing herself to destroy the darkhold was supposed to be the start of her redemption. I don’t think they were ever planning on ending her story there.
