thank god it's looking good for riley but my god when will she get a break

i still have to deal with inheritance stuff a decade after my dad died and it's hard enough now, let alone in the first year of grieving, which is probably the hardest

Good ruling from the judge, and I hope Riley eventually prevails; she's been through enough.

This does make me wonder if scammers have been able to get away with stealing "normal" people's houses this way, because so many people in that situation wouldn't be able to afford an attorney to help and wouldn't get the press attention that this is getting. Inheritance stuff can be so complicated and awful as it is without adding criminal attempts at fraud to the mix.

They definitely do, deed theft is on the rise, especially with elderly black homeowners. There needs to be laws.

I posted it in my comment below, but there was an awful case recently in Detroit where the director of a housing assistance non-profit ran a scheme stealing the homes from vulnerable clients of the charity.
