I’d assume so. To some extent it feels like a symbolic thing but hopefully it has some impact on the way the US/Canada/UK have been mangling this

i believe if an arrest warrant is issued, then all the signatories to the rome statute (right now that's 124 countries) would be legally obligated to arrest him if he travels to their countries.

I’m grateful and glad for this, as late as it has come, but Israel is not a signatory of the Rome Statute, correct? So the ICC has no jurisdiction? Truthfully, I don’t fully understand the implications of this other than being largely symbolic and a strong message to the world about what they’re doing.

Yeah they’re not a party to the statute, having refused to sign it because of illegal settlements. Neither is Palestine or the United States.

It always feels like the rest of us are forced to play by the West's rules and whenever we turn around to try to use the same framework to hold them accountable, the US has some trump card.
