do you think he'll take his glasses off when he retires, much like how lucha libre wrestlers get 'unmasked' in their last match?

I read somewhere he has a medical condition. He's very sensitive to light.

Isley Brothers??? random

anyways, I feel like the OTT hate of coldplay is a lot (not all) of people who just went with what the internet said and ran with it without even listening to any of their music lol

Their newer music is pretty meh but their first 3-4 albums are very good

Truly the Catcher of the Rye of music.

Also every UK panel show getting a joke in about them when they could. I laugh i'll admit but it did always feel overblown

i love your comments in this post. i feel like a big part of it was homophobia, calling people gay for liking coldplay, like in "the 40 year old virgin". their first few albums, a rush of blood especially, are masterpieces. ia their music has declined tho.

IA I wouldn’t categorize them as a “rock band” but the comparison between the Isley bro is weird

A lot like u2, they have a few good albums and the rest is coasting off of them.

if u2 never made achtung baby, their career would've been similar to inxs.

Indeed, the pot calls the kettle black.

Yeah but U2s pivot from Joshua Tree/Rattle & Hum to Achtung Baby is one of the greatest in rock history. They managed to shift their sound, at the height of their fame, and produce two incredible albums back to back.

There aren’t many bands who’ve done that successfully, definitely not Coldplay who shifted their sound and then…sucked.

I’d also argue that U2 have at least 7 solid albums spanning three decades; War, Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, Rattle & Hum, Achtung Baby, Pop (controversial but idc, it’s a good album) and All that You Can’t Leave Behind.

I’ve hated all the albums they’ve released for the past 20 years but can’t deny they’ve got a solid discography, and can still kill it live.
