this is not some kind of twitter stan issue and when it gets treated as such, it delegitimizes the reason for donating, for sharing information. when you decide to point fingers instead of educating, you make people afraid to speak- to say the wrong thing, to not say enough,

I just don’t understand why I see on tik tok people are now “over” celebrities and how the met gala put over the edge? Like they want all these famous people to speak about Palestine but you can’t force people , they could speak but ppl will still criticize them? So what do people want?

I’m sure they’re some who are legit in their activism but a lot of others don’t seem all that different from regular stan behavior. Just yelling into the internet void without actually meaning any of it.

Mostly i think its the cognitive dissonance of celeb/rich people culture vs everything else and Met Gala is just the epitome of it. Personally i take celeb culture as a way to alienate myself so the dumber the better but I can understand something so ostentatious being what puts people over the edge.
