I still can't shake the conviction that this book was a Merthur fic with the serial numbers filed off. Like, I knew, and I was so confused when the movie came out an no one mentioned anything and turned to Google to validate me, but apparently I made it up.

i know people don't like the book or the film but i have a soft spot for both. i read casey's other book "one last stop" during a tender time in my life and watched the film version of this and read the book a few months later, so it got me a little. i don't exactly "like" either and have legitimate issues (two emblems of colonialism in love? like ok ...) when i put my thinking cap on but yeah.

anyway, i have zero idea what a sequel would even be about?
