I will never understand the popularity of this particular song in Britain. I was never a big fan of The Killers, I only like one song by them.

As a millenial, it was played at all the college/uni nights, every single time. It gets played at weddings. I don't know why we go mad for it. I think in the UK we're fans of a good anthemic sing-a-long type song, and with this one being quite up-tempo it lends itself well to boozy events lol

I think that's it. We love a sing-along. I don't even like the Killers or this song, but I still belt it out.

it's been on at every single club night i've ever been to, I think. 80s night? Mr Brightside's there. metal night? well, cages are metal, let's put Mr Brightside on. It's wild, but it's hard to deny that in a club or party atmosphere when everyone else also goes crazy for it it's pretty fun

I listened to this album on rePEAT (along with Franz Ferdinand) when my parents and I visited London for Thanksgiving break in 8th grade, and listening makes me fondly remember so many details from that trip 🥲

Man, I’ve listened to The Killers since their demos. I think they were at some music festival my sister and mom went to and they were in one of the smaller band tents. I remember my sister then followed them for a bit and we even got to see them for free at the Virgin MegaStore in SF. So random.

Anywho, Hot Fuss is still one of my favorite albums of all time. There isn’t a single skip song. I have to say though, Mr Brightside is my least favorite on that album. I think a stronger single, had they marketed it correctly, would’ve been All These Things That I’ve Done.
