Going to see Donnie Darko tomorrow with a director intro! Haven't seen it in a few years, and never on the big screen... very excited to see

Is it the director's cut or the original?

Because I honestly think the director's cut is terrible. He changed some of the pretty iconic songs used in it and added a bunch of little scenes to dumb the whole thing down.

Good question!! I just checked and the site says it is 114 minutes, so I believe it's the regular version, but I guess I will find out tomorrow! I've never seen the director's cut but it sounds like I am not missing much.

Well, I hope it's the original!

I remember wanting to buy Donnie Darko back in college and discovering the director's cut was going to be released soon so I waited. I was so disappointed when I watched it. Everything added took out the mystery of the whole story, over-explained the plot, and ruined the whole flow of the movie. I bought the original version shortly after that!

finally seeing challengers on saturday which i am very excited about. i might also throw on mother of the bride at some point for mindless viewing.

i very belatedly saw godzilla minus one last weekend and absolutely loved it.

just saw challengers, would love to hear your thoughts! <3 [i enjoyed it, but am still a bit unclear on the timelines, waited too long to pick seats and got the last two available =\ left hand side absolute front row, and that weird perspective did not help me understand what was what :P ]

another movie with Joshhh? i think La chimera is still playing at my local indie movie theater, i might try to see it this weekend before it's gone.
also i'm glad The Iron Claw will be on Max soon. i was debating renting it.
