With the BS of Gregory last episode, the meh-ness of Janine lately, Lisa Ann's political misc., Jacob is kinda becoming my favorite for embracing his cringiness/always including inclusion in his classes/being such a great friend/his love of Mr. Johnson... I struggled a bit with Barbara this episode but came around to her in the end.

Also, all the jokes about Janine's height made me look her up and she's at least an inch taller than me... so now the height jokes just feels a little ouchy.

i get that celebs love the show too and wanna be on it but the cameos are getting a bit much? the Kevin Hart storyline felt completely unnecessary and just like a clumsy way of including a cameo, idk idk… also I only remembered that Gregory dated Barbara’s daughter when he got to her house, how uncomfortable, I wouldn’t personally go to my ex’s house if i could avoid it?

I'm okay with Quinta inviting her lesser known comedian friends on to do guest spots on the show (and even then it's kind of awks when they're just crammed into the storyline), but the celeb cameos aaaare really getting to be too much. Maybe it's CBS pushing it?

it would be alright, if the writing was better, but it seems to me that they decided to focus on the cameos and that led to downfall in quality of the script.

Agreed. This season just has a weird rhythm to it. The writing staff hasn't really changed so it is a bit puzzling because it's as if all the characters are like 10-15° off target. I think the show is missing storylines actually involving the students. There have been some, but not as many, which tend to balance the more silly or non-school stories with the teachers. Unfortunately, I also think the season probably works better for those really pining for Gregory/Janine. Once Gregory shut that down, it felt like it was over and a non-starter for me. And yet, it's clear the writers are still wanting to make it happen. That's a bit of a squeaky wheel.
