I love the movie. It’s probably one I will watch again. I did not care for the ending. After finding out how the book ended. I would preferred that one. These are two characters I don’t want to be together. Really happy they aged up Hayes. I would not have watched he was 20.

I pretty much hate big age differences in romcoms. If this was any other actors, I would not like the movie. It’s just so happens. These are two actors that I love. They’re both hot and had really good chemistry. Because the actual story is whatever.

More romcom and love stories with Anne Hathaway and Nicholas. That’s what I want most of.

Agreed that the movie worked because of the leads. Nick is really in his late 20s, but has an old soul type of demeanor and Anne looked gorgeous throughout the whole thing, which made it believeable for a young pop star to be into her. The way she worked that white turtleneck dress was beyond!!

Yes, the age difference didn’t hit hard. Anne Hathaway is gorgeous. I believe everybody being into her. She’s never looked better. And Nicholas does not look like a 24-year-old, he looks every bit his age. Lol.

tbh I just find it a relief when age gaps in movies are actually acknowledged, rather than just expecting us all to buy that a 22-year-old actress and an actor pushing 50 make completely compatible partners and/or are implicitly meant to be approximately the same age (good women simply don't visibly age, you see)

i enjoyed the movie tbh. like the plot was stupid but i think anne and nicholas's acting really sold it when a lot of these netflix romcoms have similar terrible plots but they cast people who cannot act.
