Ooh, that sounds like a visual spectacle.

Curious to see what they will create and what the story will be like! One of my fave fantasy novels as a tween was Lloyd Alexander's The Iron Ring, which I thought was a pretty good take on Indian mythos and culture from a white writer.

The preview in this post seems to take some visual cues from the Chola Dynasty bronze sculptures.

I went to one of his readings and met him and will never forget his kindness. After the reading was a kind of meet and greet and there were some fans there on crutches/wheelchairs and he made a point of having those people come to the front of the line so they wouldn't be standing/waiting too long, and I thought that was incredibly kind. He also stayed past his venu time talking to/taking pics with people and the venue people had to tell him that he had to leave, lol.

Nah, I went to one of his readings, too (more than a decade ago) and also remember him as being very kind and patient, and making a point to talk to literally everyone. The venue staff said he wouldn't sign any books unless they were bought that day at the venue, and he went out of his way to completely ignore this and sign literally anything anyone handed him lol. He stayed so late, to make sure he talked to every single person there, that he missed his plane.

There are plenty of things to side-eye this man about, but as far as I know he's generally been very kind to his fans.

He's a mess for basically leaving his wife and kid behind in NZ during Covid but I can't lie, I'm pretty intrigued by this

I agree. Thankfully he course corrected, and while I'm not sure what's up with him and Amanda I believe he sees his son regularly now which is good.

His personal life is a mess but his creative mind is undeniable.

He’s still one of the only 6 people I follow on Bluesky lol

Excited for this, I maintain that the Sandman should’ve been animated

Or depending on the story line a different kind of animation or live action. Or Roger Rabbit-ish with certain characters animated.
