Love her, she was absolutely amazing in The Fall of the House of Usher. Her ability to morph in any sort of character is unmatched so I'm sure she will do great.

Vivien is one of those people I just always want to protect because of how hard life was for her, how much ableism and misogyny has colored how we talk about her.

So idk, I’m scared!! I do think the casting is perfect though

This! Its weird to explain to people how you feel protective of someone who died when your parents were in diapers, like nobody gets it lol

That's not a great pic of Carla Gugino. Always thought she was gorgeous and deserved a better career

Everytime I see that gif of her I always wonder if the original Barbie was partially inspired by Vivien in that moment. Cause the first Barbie really does resemble Vivien right down to the eye look.

I get so excited that enough people still care enough about the stars from the golden age of HWood the further and further out we get from it that I immediately am like 'Yes!' but hopefully this is good.

Vivien is such an icon. I love her as Scarlett and Blanche. I highly recommend going on Youtube and watch the interview she did in '58 with Edward Munroe. I love how elegant and posh and is and obviously smart as hell.
It makes me so sad what she had to go through in life with being bipolar, especially in the mental health hell scape that was the 1940s and 50s. The amount of needless suffering she went through makes me so angry. Especially the way she died essentially by dry drowning via TB, like she couldn't even die peacefully and painlessly, its just not fair with everything she had already been through.

Anyway, that's my spiel. Looking forward to this tho!
