AI we know now was developed without the consent of artists so we MUST pass laws on this otherwise it is essentially like saying, “fuck artist rights.”

I am tired of seeing people not take this seriously.

I get so weirded out when artists will complain about the use in their field and then will turn around and use it in a different field like writers using it for book covers and artists using it for text.

Yeah I don’t like the hypocrisy out there. I saw a writer say “well it is more affordable to use ai” and it’s just like bro, it is putting your job in danger too.

Plus really the fact that it was developed without our consent (my art is in those engines) makes it so beyond fucked. If the tech was developed with artist permission this might be a slightly different conversation but it is creepy that people can just steal someone else’s life’s work to imitate them.

The ai cover songs all over social media make me so uncomfortable. I also seriously question many “leaks”. The Harry Styles, Niall Horan + random 1D songs recently seemed “probably” to be AI to me and fans have just assumed they are completely real (and were apparently paying for them 🥴)
