sourceRatings were actually pretty ok but CBS just has too many shows and for some reason really wants to do a NCSI Origins show about young Gibbs so some shows had to go

I have no objection to this. I have only seen the original NCIS, none of the spin-offs.

i watched for the ship and liked them, but ncis shows in general are pretty boring so i was never invested so i'm not particularly upset, but objectively speaking, the decision is classic cbs.

uncancelled swat to give it another season after all even tho this season was written as the last, ordered an ncis show all about gibbs' backstory despite telling that through the original show (apparently, idk i don't watch), and greenlighting a tony/ziva spin off despite the fact that michael weatherly sexually harassed eliza dushku on the set of a cbs show and the network had to pay almost 10mil to settle the lawsuit (and the character of ziva is a zionist, from what i heard?), but can't find the budget to renew the show they've been recently hyping up as the first female led ncis show (led by a woc too), that had two lesbian main characters who were the main love story of the show, and on lesbian visibility day too. yikes.

Lesbian visibility week started off so well too. It was just really nice to have a procedural show with so many POC and a sapphic main couple. And it was infinitely more watchable than any of those FBI shows. I should just learn to never expect anything remotely good from CBS, the mainstay of white conservative, tv watching dads. The ratings were good too! That's what's pissing me off. It feels like they're just moving the goal posts to justify cancelling it and making room for more white men.

Yep. The cancellation against all that makes no sense. I read it’s expensive because it’s in Hawaii and paramount may be sold so they’re hedging their bets but the prequel, keeping swat and ncis Sydney makes no sense

Aw man. I actually liked this one! My parents would save them and we would watch when I came to see them. Ya know, bonding time. Had the best characters of all the other ones and was honestly the least annoying. Also, it was just beautiful to watch. They kept Sydney over this? Boo.
