-Cyclops focuses the X-Men on finding Bolivar Trask. However, when the team locates the Sentinel inventor, they realize that they all have been played by a mastermind.
The SECOND best episode so far, behind Episode 5. Not a surprise that stuff that actually deals with the Genosha fallout is more captivating than anything else (I love you Storm, I DO! I love you so much! It ain't your fault that your stuff feels small in comparison! Can't wait for your new costume in the intro!). Kurt's eulogy for Remy got me in my FEELINGS. And Rogue crumbling into his arms, and her talking about how she was a dud as an adopted sister
( ... )
Rogue's kick is definitely a 'card moment'. Also Jean tossing a building and not fainting immediately was a serve. When she was in that river/pond with Logan, I had a feeling she was going to be a true powerhouse this season. I will say, I know in the animation before, her power signature was blue. But in the comics, it has always been pink and I find myself missing it, kinda. Loved your scene revision btw, that would have been sooo good. Also also, that black-haired woman at Remy's funeral was ... Candra?? Mercy LeBeau? Felicia Hardy? Anja? Those are the only white women I can think of from the Thieves Guild but none of their looks match that mystery woman ....
another bangerrrrr! Rogue tearing shit up makes me FERAL!!! I loved that part so much. When she tossed Cpt America's shield while saying 'you won't need this'!!!!!!!! She ATE 'em uuuuuup!!!!
The mix of fierce-slay moments and sobbing turmoil is the emotional rollercoaster i live for. Also, the multiple storylines being crafted into one original plot is so riiiiiite. They're really hitting all the cool shit you wanna see if you've been a fan of the comics over the years.
Next. EMMA THEE FROST!!!!!!!! Out of the ashes, covered in diamond, and shortly off to have herself appraised at Harry Winston.
Now for theory-crafting. Trask and Sinister release Nimrod. Cable and the X-Hotties fight it and lose? Cable time-shifts to try again? We get some shots of the future. Charles comes back and gets hated on. The big, evil mastermind is revealed to be Apocalypse. Though, idk, I feel like it's too easy for that to be the answer ...
"There was something a little camp about her line delivering and her randomly carried away on the stretcher." It was verrry 'bring me my smelling salts, darling', lmaooo
She actually said the Harry Winston appraisal line in the comics. Right after she called herself a 'Faberge killing machine'. Emma is a forever diva.
