I think that's true in certain black communities/cultures, but I honestly didn't see much of that growing up. The idea of black excellence and needing to be exceptional to be loved wasn't really a thing.

I do see it more now, but it's mostly from grown folks judging other grown folks.

Now when it comes to white mediocrity, there's no doubt that's true. No need to even bring up relevant examples.

It's because we didn't mix enough or well not self aware. As I've got older people will come and tell me if only other British Asian men were as nice as me or as open minded blah blah blah. And it's like you don't even know them. Stop judging.

I can hear fellow white ppl dropping him all around the world. Just because a lot of us (humans in general) have lived a hard life or don’t feel accepted by society doesn’t mean that what he’s saying isn’t true. Look at… anything really.
