No one quits for “no reason” especially after 15 years. There was clearly a reason and she knows at least some of it but she doesn’t think it’s a good reason or she wasn’t listening when he brought up the reasons so that’s why it’s such a “shock”. I dunno why he quit, could be a complete asshole but also I hate when people try and say anyone quit for “no reason” it’s almost never accurate
