I’m 99% sure The Beach Boys were my first concert and then saw Brian Wilson & Al Jardine do Pet Sounds a while back. Love them so much😭

I saw that Pet Sounds tour too! I think it was 2016. Now if you go to see the "Beach Boys" it's just Mike Love and some randos because he owns the trademark or something

the Beatles/Beach Boys rivalry has always been interesting to me...i always had the impression there was no animosity, that they respected and were fans of each other, but yeah...Pet Sounds being in response to Rubber Soul, which then inspired Sgt Pepper...Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney seem like the type of personalities who would want to one up each other, but some amazing music came out of it so...hey....
