I'm not trying to be mean, but Reese Witherspoon's opinions about de industry are always so useless (especially when she's talking about POC)

She's such a privileged individual that her opinions are super disconnected with the reality of POC creatives

Idk if she's friends with Ellen Pompeo but they're both so obtusely ignorant about how privileged their careers have been ESPECIALLY when it comes to how much bullshit POCs have to endure just to be in the same room.

Reese Witherspoon is the prime example of a celebrity that got more unlikable once she started being more of a public personality. I loved her early work, but I couldn’t stand her once she started sharing her opinions. (the drunk driving thing didn’t help, either)

What she really means to say about AI is that it’s not coming for the jobs of people in that room. CEOs, execs, and the like won’t be at risk for a while, and by that point, they’ll have made enough money profiting off of AI that they’ll be fine when their career ends.

Steaming WAS the biggest thing for 3 to 4 years because it actually offered something different. Now it's exactly like cable, right down to the hours upon hours of crap filler. And that's only going to get worse as people use "AI" because it's not actually intelligent. It's a statistical model that gives you the next mostly likely word/s based upon a prompt.

This is the thing that boggles my mind about the rush to use AI to replace creatives instead of use it to do what it's useful for (automating the boring laborious shit).

AI physically can't innovate. It can't. It can only regurgitate what you feed it. If something becomes a trend, it will just replicate it ad nauseum. Hollywood *already has a problem* with repetitive content boring audiences and now it wants to put an actual production line on replicating that problem as fast as it can.

For me it's worse than cable - because with cable you still got a variety of channels and could tune to History, Discovery, Sci-Fi, AMC, etc.... I want it to be more like Spotify with everything in one place rather than expecting people to pay for 10 different streaming services.
